Emily Mao

Emily will be a Junior at the University of Michigan in the fall of 2023 and has been a legal assistant at Margolis & Cross for two years. She is studying Political Science and Moral & Political Philosophy. Emily is a researcher with the Michigan Foreign Policy Council, where she conducts and publishes articles on Climate and Energy issues worldwide. Previously, she has worked as an intern for the Norfolk County District Attorney in Massachusetts. There, she gained valuable court experience when she served as a trial assistant, sitting in on various criminal cases and providing vital feedback on case content and presentation for assistant district attorneys.

After undergrad, Emily hopes to attend law school and pursue a career in health or environmental law.
